There was a good one of these docs on Amazon I had watched last year at some point. I’ll have to search for the name of it but it was regarding skiing some mountain in Alaska. They flew a plane out to the middle of the state and just looked around until they found something cool. Then spent 7 days sleeping in a tent while a massive storm rolled through, nearly starved to death, and then hiked up a cliff basically and then skiied down. It was pretty extreme.
There were quite a few others I watched on Amazon. Some better done than others... But they are all entertaining for sure. Recently also watched a movie titled “Free solo” about a guy who became the first to ever Freeclimb El Capitan in Yosemite. That one definitely reminded me that heights are scary.

I’m a huge sucker for mountaineering books and I’m bored as hell today. Thanks for the suggestion, I’m going to go turn this on.

Have you ever done the fantasy ridge hike at solitude? That hike freaks me out so bad it’s not even funny.

I hiked Angles landing when I was a teenager, I don’t think I could do it today with the 1,000 foot drops on each side.

i have a hard time doing it now as an adult. I’ve done it but i don’t need to redo it it. i have no problem hanging off 300 foot drops on the other side of the canyon, but angles landing still freaks me out
